1. About Us

Highbridge Man With A Van is a trading name operated by EddyVanMan (Eddy Leasing Limited). Our services include man with a van removals and waste clearance in Highbridge, Somerset and surrounding areas.

2. Quotations

All quotations provided via telephone, email, or web form are estimates based on the information supplied. The final price is confirmed on arrival at the collection point. Work begins only once you have agreed to the final price.

For removals, pricing is calculated based on travel time from BS48 (our home postcode) to the collection address, then to the delivery address, and back again, plus estimated loading and unloading time.

Clean air zone charges and road tolls are disclosed upfront and added to the final price.

3. Bookings & Cancellations

Bookings are confirmed verbally or in writing. We ask for as much notice as possible for cancellations. Short-notice cancellations (less than 24 hours) may be subject to a call-out fee at our discretion.

4. Liability

We take all reasonable care when handling your belongings. We are not liable for pre-existing damage, inherent fragility, or items improperly packed by the customer.

We are not liable for delays caused by traffic, access issues, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Our liability for loss or damage is limited to the reasonable market value of the item at the time of loss or damage.

We refer work to other trusted Man with a Van removal companies. We don’t hold any liability for these companies.

• If we, or another company that we have referred work to, can’t attend due to unforeseen circumstances including breakdown and traffic problems, we limit our liability to refunding the deposit.
• Notwithstanding any other limit stated in these terms, our and the referred company’s total liability for breakages or damage is limited to £250.
• If customers or their friends and family are helping to load the van, they do so at their own risk.

Eddy Leasing Limited or Nigel Hammond are not accountable for the actions of other companies or individuals who we have referred work to.

5. Waste Clearance

We are a licensed waste carrier, registered with the Environment Agency (registration no. CBDU445737). All waste collected is disposed of lawfully and responsibly. We cannot accept paint tins or hazardous materials.

The customer warrants that they have the legal right to dispose of all items presented for clearance.

6. Payment

Payment is due on completion of the job unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept cash and bank transfer. Prices shown do not include VAT as we are not VAT registered.

7. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
